Man Plans and God Laughs

Literally, as we stood at the baggage claim in Madrid congratulating ourselves on a flawless trip…one of our gear bags fails to appear.  So, after tons of paperwork, we head for Pamplona (3 1/2 hrs by train) where we wait, call and wait some more…still no bag.  So after running through Plan B and Plan C, we finally hit on a plan where we are going to hike with just the gear that we have and then pick up the rest of the gear in Pamplona on the way back through hopefully 3 days later. So we are off to the bus station for a bus to St. Jean, France.
