Rain, Rain, Rain

After the rain
We are entering Galicia, the prettiest part of the Camino and we knew to expect some rain.  How else does everything get so beautiful and green? You can understand why it was so desirable and therefore conquered so many times. We just dodge the showers and try to continue to make progress.  We slogged into our destination, got a room overlooking a huge bazaar and decided to dry out and take a short nap.  When we woke up the bazaar was gone and everything had been cleaned up as though it never existed.  Jerry decided that we should go out in search of pizza and we found a gourmet section to a Mercado and had one of the best homemade pizzas ever!  This town is known for an "iron bridge" that was amazingly first reinforced with iron in the 11th c. Another highlight is the Castillo de los Temparios a 12thc castle.  This town came under the protectorate of the Templars in 1178 but in 1312 the Order was outlawed and disbanded by the Church who feared their power.
