Dried out the gear just in time to wake to more rain so it all
goes back on. However, 1.8km ahead we
found a great “bar” serving wonderful café con leche and postre. The rain
stopped so things were definitely looking up.
However, we have now decided that the best way to avoid the “no room”
situations is to stop earlier. We stopped at 2 pm at a quaint alburgue in a
village known for its association with the Knights Templar. Just in time as they turned many more away. I had decided that what I thought was a hot
spot on my little toe needed some special attention and Jerry was so delighted that it turned out to be a blister so he
could finally use all his operating equipment.
Thank goodness he didn’t bring his surgical stapler or he would have use
that too. Thought for the day: To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.
