Today the trail was partially over an ancient Roman road and several Roman bridges that have lasted over 2000 years. We just cannot build them like that anymore but you have to wonder how the Roman army conquered anything moving on these rocky roads. Hard walking on all the exposed rocks and the
toe is definitely getting beat up so Jerry is back to playing medic. Hey, a pain shot right into the toe and pain
patches will do wonders. I was thinking
maybe amputation might be the answer. Not sure how early is too early as by 2pm
this alburgue was nearly full. Two top bunks in a room of 50 (100 total). Noisy and a long line at the shower. The pic is a typical Camino marker but you have to wonder about the poor soul who is now traveling with only one boot.
